With over 13 years of experience, Keysha has trained dogs of all breeds and sizes for service work. Dogs that are task trained to mitigate a spectrum of disabilities. Giving independence back to individuals who have never been able to achieve it or had it taken away. We are able to train dogs who have the temperament, desire and physical capacity to aid those who desperately need it.
Training dogs to a different level of obedience. More than simple commands. Focusing on heeling, compliance, engagement and having fun with your dog. Challenging ourselves and our dogs is what we aim for in Rally!
In this program we take on young puppies and lay on a solid foundation of engagement, relationship, obedience, and socialization. Teaching crate manner, dog to dog interactions, and so much more.
This type of dog aids in physical tasks both heavy and light weight. An example of heavy mobility tasks is wheelchair pulling, counterbalance, bracing and more.
Light weight tasks would be things like item retrieval, opening and closing doors, getting help from a family member or stranger etc.
These service dogs are trained with an emphasis on scent detection. This includes but is not limited to:
Diabetic Alert Dogs
Migraine Alert
Narcolepsy Response Dogs
Seizure Alert/Response Dogs
Allergy Detection
Psyche dogs aid in a multitude of different avenues of mental health disabilities. From aiding Veterans in assimilating back into everyday life to trauma victims who can't even step outside of their home. Some tasks taught to these dogs are:
Deep pressure therapy
Item Retrieval
Crowd control
Finding an exit
Disruption
These dogs are cross trained in different areas of service work and are not just regulated to one category.
